Who We Are

What is the "Partners for Parks" Foundation?

Photo of woods Partners For Parks is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which means that any contributions made to the organization are tax deductible. While the foundation supports the mission of the Lisle Park District, it should not be mistaken as part of the Lisle Park District. It is managed by an eight (8) member board of volunteers that either work and/or live within the greater Lisle community.

The purpose of the organization is to raise money through corporate and private contributions and in-kind donations. These funds will be used for such things as enriching the quality of life in the greater Lisle community through offering scholarships for those families who otherwise could not afford to participate in recreation programs, beautification of parks and protection of natural resources, supporting and enhancing community programs, and promoting recreational opportunities. Funding for projects such as these is not usually appropriated from tax dollars.

The foundation will also encourage and build relationships between private and public organizations which will promote the exchange of services and technical expertise.
